Why Join? Member Benefits

First, learn about the benefits of a CMC-Canada membership by watching CMC-Canada's Value Proposition Presentation. Click here to view the presentation.

Ability to Apply for the Certified Management Consultant Designation
Joining CMC-Canada is the first step to earning your Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation. The CMC is the profession's only international certification mark, recognized in more than 40 countries. It represents a commitment to the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession. Achieve the CMC and communicate to employers that you practice A higher level of management consulting.

Exposure to Clients through our Online Consultant Database
As a CMC-Canada member, you have the option of publicly promoting your business through our website's Member Directory. By listing your name and business on our database, potential clients - who search our database daily - will gain access to and learn more about your services. Use our website to leverage your business potential.

CMC-Canada's RFP and Career Connections
The RFP/Career Connections section of our website allows members to view and apply for job postings and RFPs. Members may also post employment opportunities within their own firms.

Member Savings Programs
CMC-Canada's Member Savings Programs have been developed or negotiated with third parties and include discount pricing on a suite of insurance products for auto, home, health and dental, life, disability and professional liability.  Members are also able to save money on a wide range of products and services through CMC MemberPerks.

Canadian Management Consulting Industry Study
CMC-Canada's Canadian Management Consulting Industry Study tracks trends and identifies the opportunities in the Canadian management consulting market. In short, it is a comprehensive analysis of the management consulting profession in Canada. Members receive a complimentary copy of the Summary Report free - a $395 value.

Management Advisory Service (MAS)
Once you earn your CMC designation, consider participating in the MAS program administered by CMC-Canada in partnership with the National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). Qualified CMCs are recommended to assist small and medium-sized businesses that need management consulting advice. This program is nation-wide and financially supported through NRC-IRAP.

Networking

Membership will enable you to expand your network of potential clients through the Association's website listings, special interest groups, and association partnerships. Access the wisdom and experience of some of the best minds in the business, and meet and mingle with consultants from the country's most successful firms. Acquire career-boosting insights, comparing notes with consultants who've "been there, done that".

Additional Benefits
Other benefits of membership include:

  • Online Learning Discounts - discounted fees for all professional development events and online courses;
  • cNotes, the Association's electronic newsletter distributed to all members. cNotes delivers industry news, event listings and Association announcements;
  • Access to our online Knowledge Centre, which includes articles and reports of interest; and
  • Access to Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that provide a forum for members with specific interests to develop programs and exchange information with peers.
