  • Case Competition Volunteers Needed and BC Aware begins...

    Happy New Year and here is wishing you much success in 2017.

    We are working to put together another interesting year of events and will have an announcement about our March session with Bill Tam, President and CEO of the BC Tech coming out shortly. BC Tech is an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for the tech industry to collaborate, learn, and grow together. In the meantime, below is information on assisting in the adjudication of cases as part of the National Strategy Consulting Competition as well as BC Aware, the annual conference dedicated to information security and privacy.

    National Strategy Consulting Competition
    Judges are required for the upcoming case competition. Please contact Elisa Liu directly at if you would like to volunteer or require further information.

    Founded in 2013 by UBC students, the National Strategy Consulting Competition and Conference (NSCC) offers delegates the opportunity to gain a well-rounded understanding of the consulting industry and expand their understanding of strategy and technology consulting. NSCC comprises 2 parts - both a strategy consulting case competition and a two-day conference. The event gives students exclusive access to network with consultants from major consulting firms through panels, consulting workshops, simulations, and a networking gala.

    This year, the event will be happening on January 26-28th at Pan Pacific Vancouver, with the next rounds of the competition and the conference happening in parallel. We are in need of:

    • 2nd Round Judges. 2nd Round Judges will be asked to watch and grade presentations by competing teams. This will take place between 3:30 - 5:30PM on January 27th at boardrooms around downtown, but we ask that judges stay until deliberations have finished, which may mean staying a bit past 5:30 if necessary.
