New Partnership: CMC-Canada and University of Toronto, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering
March 28, 2018 -
The Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. The initial objective is to prepare students within U of T’s Master’s of Engineering (MEng) programme for a career in management consulting, and the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation.
“A relationship with the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering is a win for everyone, especially students,” said Lyn McDonell, President of CMC-Ontario. “Management consulting is a growing field and there are exciting careers in consulting for students. The CMC designation is recognized in over 40 countries and is management consulting’s only international certification mark. It represents a commitment to the highest standards of consulting and to the ethical guidelines of the profession. We are pleased to be working with U of T’s Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering to offer students this path to the CMC designation.“
University of Toronto offers courses in personal / interpersonal skills, project management, and a course covering the process of management consulting, all of which comply with the requirements of the CMC designation. University of Toronto will also make available CMC-Canada's Ethical Behaviour course, required for the CMC designation, to students, either through CMC-Canada directly or via University of Toronto’s engagement of a CMC-Canada trained facilitator.
