Amber Mac is an award-winning podcaster, TV host, and bestselling author - and an internationally-known technology reporter, entrepreneur, and social media personality. She started her career at Razorfish in San Francisco during the dot-com boom and has since been at the forefront of reporting on and participating in digital innovation.

Amber is President of AmberMac Media, Inc., an award-winning content development agency. In 2021, Amber was named one of the Bay Street Bull Women of the Year for her leadership in the technology sector. In 2018, she was named one of DMZ’s 30 inspirational women making a difference in tech.

Dominique Dennery
M.A. FCMC, CPF, Erickson Coach

Dominique Dennery is an award-winning facilitator, certified management consultant (fellow) and certified coach who has spent more than 30 years supporting individual and collective potential. As an expert facilitator, she specializes in difficult conversations on organizational and cultural change. She is also the moderator of choice for national dialogues on issues such as the elimination of racism and gender-based violence. She has designed and delivered hundreds of workshops and learning forums focused on diversity and inclusion, mental health and wellbeing, and human-centered leadership.

Since founding Dennery Resources Inc in 1995, Dominique has provided expert consulting and coaching services to senior leaders in dozens of federal departments and agencies, numerous provincial and municipal departments, Business Schools, Unions, and nonprofit organizations in Canada and overseas. Her most recent clients include the Public Health Agency of Canada, Justice Canada, Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada, the Commissioner of Official Languages, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the RCMP, the National Arts Center, the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, the Ottawa Art Gallery, and the City of Pickering.

Craig Mackay, FCMC

Craig is Past President of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario and Vice President of Nortak Software, responsible for Information Solutions. 

Craig is host of What’s Up Wednesday the digital series presented by CMC-Ontario, he is also a Management Advisory Service (MAS) consultant recognized by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada).

Craig is a Solutions Architect and a Senior IT Project Manager, a VOIP Engineer, and is ITIL certified.  As a Senior VP at Nortak Craig also handles sales and the SR&ED program.  Craig takes a customer centric approach to designing and implementing useable and sustainable IT solutions.  Nortak Software is an AWS partner with trained Cloud migration and support technicians.   Let us put your business in the Clouds.  Mr. Mackay created the CallBase CRM solution which is now available for Software as a Service (SaaS) on the Cloud.

  • Tiziana (Tiz) began her career as a CPA (CA). While in public practice she obtained her CMC designation and began assisting clients with strategic planning, performance management, process improvement and risk management. Tiz ventured into Neurolinguistics, which provided her with a model of understanding what moves people towards or away from what they desire. Today, Tiz guides leaders in sustaining people, profit and planet through the use of data-rich tools of culture transformation.

    Tiz is the founder of Vera Pace Consulting and a member of the Barrett Values Centre global network of Barrett Consultants and Coaches. She is part of a network that helps thousands of organizations and leaders around the world achieve new levels of success by shaping culture to support strategy.

Luke Brodie, MBA

  • Luke is a dynamic facilitator who has led innovation experiences with leaders of Fortune 500 companies on four continents and lectured on design thinking and organizational change at some of the world’s leading business schools including Rotman, ESADE, and Harvard. He has also worked internationally in a variety of roles including airline management and as a professional musician.

    In his current role Luke leads and coaches multiple design teams simultaneously, focusing on how design and storytelling can be integrated into consulting work. This results in meaningful engagements, and the co-creation of artifacts that drive impactful outcomes for users, client businesses, and their industries.

Joseph Duperreault, CMC, MBA, ICD.D

  • Joseph is a Director at WMC and the Chief Financial Officer and Chair of Social Awareness Group Inc. He has over 25 years’ experience consulting to industry, government and Indigenous communities and serves Social Awareness Group's vision of a global economy at its fullest potential through socially conscious, data-driven actions.

    Joseph believes intentional data-driven shifts in the approach to economic reconciliation can produce profound results in the relationship with Indigenous communities. Christopher Holt, MBA, PhD, CMC
Director of MBET, University of Waterloo

  • Christopher is the director of the University of Waterloo’s Master of Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology (MBET) program. Prior to this, he was an entrepreneur in the financial services and media sectors and a management consultant with firms ranging from a Big 4 consulting division to a boutique strategy firm.  He is a board member of the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE) and a past board member of the University Club of Toronto.

    Over his wide-ranging career, Chris also served as a consultant to the Global Absolute Return Congress, the World Economic Forum and the World Bank.  He has been the editor of a magazine covering global geopolitics and capital markets, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Alternative Investments and a speaker at nearly 100 conferences in 11 countries where he has interviewed several Nobel laureates and prime ministers.  In 2005, he was recognized by Duke University with its high alumni service award, the Charles A. Dukes Award.

Jim Love, FCMC
CIO, Chief Content Officer, IT World

  • Jim Love is both CIO and Chief Content Officer at IT World Canada.  Over his 40-year career Jim has achieved recognition as a business and IT executive, a consultant and as a writer.

    Jim is co-author of “Digital Transformation in the First Person” which documents the rescue and turnaround of iconic publisher IT World Canada.  In addition, he has published numerous articles on strategy, technology and business transformation.  He has been a featured writer and guest editor with the Cutter Journal of IT.  Most recently, his work with long time research partner Doug Sparkes, PhD was one of the papers selected by the IEEE for their 2021 international conference on Digital Transformation.

Marguerite Mcleod-Fleming, MBA

Sushila Nair, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CDPSE
VP. Security Services, NTT Data

  • Sushila Nair is the Vice President for Security Services at NTT DATA’s Chief Digital Office. She has served as a Chief Information Security Officer for 10 years and has over 25 years of experience in computing infrastructure, business and security. An experienced cybersecurity thought leader, she has worked in diverse areas across telecommunications, risk analysis, and credit card fraud, and served as a legal expert witness. With numerous articles published in the computing press, she is part of the ISACA emerging technologies working group and is regularly featured in various global technical events. She plays an active role in supporting best practices and skills development within the cybersecurity community.

  • Nik Nanos leads Nanos Research, one of Canada’s most distinguished research companies.  The Nanos Research Group of Companies includes Nanos Rutherford McKay & Co, an affiliate of Nanos Research and Rutherford McKay Associates with service offerings including public acceptance and engagement, communications audits, and narrative development. It also includes Nanos-dimap Analytika, an analytics and targeting research practice which is a joint venture with dimap, one of Germany’s top research organizations.

Shane Saunderson, PhD, MBA, B. Eng.
Human Futures Studio

  • Dr. Shane Saunderson is a fellow with the Human Futures Studio, a human-centric consultancy/think-tank; a co-founder of Babbly, an AI-powered infant tech start-up; a lecturer on digital transformation with the Schulich Executive Education Centre at York University; and the Chair of the Microsoft Canada Artificial Intelligence Partner Advisory Board (aiPAB). He has spent over a decade consulting for Fortune 500 clients on strategy, innovation, and technology. Shane is a prolific writer on technology and frequently gives talks on Design Thinking, robotics, AI, and the future of technology in society. Shane is a Vanier scholar who holds a PhD in Robotics with a specialization in psychology from the University of Toronto, an MBA in Technology and Innovation from the Ted Rogers School of Management, and a B. Eng. from McGill University.

Eva Maxwell, CMC

  • Eva has worked for federal, provincial, and international clients conducting evaluation, facilitation, organisational development, change management, performance measurement, and research projects. She is passionate about socially important work and rigorous research.

    Eva holds an Honours B.S.Soc. with a double major in Public Administration and Criminology and an M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Ottawa. She is a Credentialed Evaluator (CE) with the Canadian Evaluation Society and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Eva is perfectly bilingual (English and French) and also speaks Romanian, Spanish, and some German.,

  • Husam Sha'ath is a seasoned consultant, trainer and practitioner in the fields of Strategic Management, Implementation Management, Corporate Transformations and Project & Program Management.  He is the Founder and President of FORTE Management Consulting Inc., a Management Consulting and Training firm based in Toronto.  Prior to that, he was a Principal Consultant in the Corporate and Operations Strategy Group with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting in Toronto.

    Mr. Sha’ath is involved with the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada), where he is a past Chair of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Chapter Council.

  • Marylka Empey, FCMC, MBA, CHRL, CHRE, CCP

    Marylka Empey, currently serves as the Registrar of the Ontario Institute and sits on the National Certification Committee.  She is also the CATALYST 2022 Co-Chair of the Speakers and Programming committee. Marylka obtained her CMC in 2009 via the Executive Stream, and has served as GTA Chapter Chair, President of the Ontario Institute, and National Board member.

    Marylka is active in the broader community and has served on several non-profit boards. Currently she is an Advisory Board member for the MSc in Project Management at Northeastern University’s Toronto campus. Through her company, Trinity Associates Inc., Marylka has consulted on strategic HR initiatives across a range of industry sectors with local and international clients, including Wendy’s, Canadian Tire, OMERS, DMC Mining, Doctors Without Borders.

    Marylka has also travelled to CMC Global conferences and has experienced first-hand the awesomeness of “Go Local, Go Global”!

  • James Grieve, CMC, CSP, CCXP, CEPA, MBA

    James is a CMC with a can-do approach to business.  He is passionate about strategy and has a keen understanding of working with for profit, non-profit, and co-operative organizations in a variety of industries, including agriculture, retail, tourism, hospitality, manufacturing, and professional services. He has extensive experience in working with First Nations communities on economic development and empowerment initiatives in a variety of geographical regions and business models, including co-operatives.

    James is also a Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP), a Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), and a Professional Farm Advisor (CAFA), and brings a creative and customer-first approach to working with clients. He also holds an ISO 20700:2017 certification for management consultancy services.

  • Olakunle Fadumiye, CMC, MSc, PMP, CSM, DASM, EIT

    Ola is the Registrar for the Manitoba Certifying Institute and is a member of CMC National Certification Committee (NCC).  Ola has customized the CMC-Canada Pathway and has created an interactive tool to help facilitate a candidate’s review of the certification streams. Ola will be providing an overview of this interactive tool as part of the panel discussion.

    In addition to his CMC, Ola has MSc in Civil Engineering, a Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), a Disciplined Certified Scrum Master (DASM), and an Engineer in Training (EIT) pursuing his PEng. Most recently, Ola completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics and Data Science from the University of Texas, Austin.

    Ola is an Assistant Project Manager for Emmett Leo Homes, a high-end custom builder in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ola has extensive experience in Residential and Commercial Project Management, Contract Management and Risk management to the highest standards and customer satisfaction.

    He is the initiator of a Social Project in Nigeria called Tolaram Science Challenge.

  • Leah Iszakovits, MA, PMP, RCIC

    Leah currently serves as the Executive Director and Registrar for the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Alberta or CMC-AB as well as Chair of their Registration Committee.  

    Entrepreneurial and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, Leah founded IZAK Canada Immigration Consulting Inc., an immigration firm dedicated to helping individuals and organizations with customized immigration solutions.  With a background in international education and stakeholder relations, Leah’s consulting practice focuses on immigration research, business development, international education, and helping educational providers increase and diversify revenue, develop student recruitment and marketing strategies, and streamline internal processes.

    Leah is a certified Change Management Practitioner, PMP and is a licenced Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and member in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. She holds a MA from Western University, a BA from King’s University College at Western University, and completed UBC’s: Laws, Policies and Procedures program.

  • Dorothy Milburn-Smith, FCMC

    Dorothy Milburn-Smith has more than 35 years experience as a management consultant. She is a Fellow Certified Management Consultant (FCMC) and Information Systems Professional. For more than 25 years, Dorothy has been an active member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. This has included being the President of the Ontario Institute of Certified Management Consultants, Chair of the Eastern Ontario Chapter of the Ontario Institute, Chair of the FCMC Committee for the Ontario Institute and a certified Oral Assessor. Dorothy’s consulting experience has primarily been in the public sector. Dorothy is an organizational problem-solver with excellent consulting, diagnostic, analytical, facilitation and communications skills. She combines organizational change, process management and business transformation skills with in-depth information technology and systems expertise.

    Dorothy is also active in her community. In 2020, she was elected to the Board of the Ottawa Chamber Music Society (OCMS), and has been appointed Secretary. Her involvement in OCMS reflects Dorothy’s love of music and the arts. In recent years, OCMS has produced as many as 120 events and performances per year, most of which take place within the context of the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival (Chamberfest).

  • Nancy Lahaie, CMC, Adm.A.

    Nancy is the Regional Director-Quebec member of  the Board of Directors of CMC-Canada, as well as a member of l’Ordre des Administrateurs Agrées.

    Nancy is a business strategist with over 20 years of experience in marketing management, commercialization and market development. She has worked in multi-national companies such as Pfizer Canada and Roche Diagnostics as well as in Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), both in B2B and B2C. Innovative and results-oriented, she has strong analytical and strategic skills that enable her to deliver innovative and winning strategies, and mobilize teams to achieve the company business objectives as well as the professional aspirations of the leaders she works with.

    Nancy also collaborates as a trainer with Concordia University’s continuing education and at l’École des Dirigeants where she shares best practices on strategic planning, communication, team management and leadership. In addition, she is a lecturer at Université Laval at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

    In 2014, launched her consulting firm focusing on helping companies and professionals reach their full potential in a sustainable fashion through an inspiring vision, clear objectives, a strong strategic positioning, a clever operational plan and powerful tools.

  • Chris Harper, CMC, PMP, CBAP

    Christopher is the Senior Director, Digital Advisory Services with Online Business Systems, a multi-national cybersecurity digital transformation consulting firm.  He has nearly two decades of professional consulting experience spanning information technology, human resources, financial planning and reporting, asset management, and strategy development and execution in the public and private sectors.  He is currently completing his Doctor in Business Administration with Royal Roads University, where his research interests can be found at the intersection of information technology and strategy.

    Chris is passionate about building and enabling consulting teams to deliver impactful results with clients, creating teams that enable clients to navigate complex transformations with success.  He has taken this passion nationally, where he has developed and delivers various management consulting certification courses with Certified Management Consultants – Canada, in addition to teaching at the University of Calgary and the Faculty of Business Administration at Lakehead University.  He takes this same passion and approach to help build capabilities with clients, enabling clients to sustain their success with confidence and independence. 

    Chris currently serves as an elected Canadian delegate to the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, where he is a member of the Professional Standards Committee and Chair of the Americas Hub.

  • Valerie Sluth, FCMC, MBA, ICD.D,

    Valerie is the founder and CEO of Saskatchewan-based Praxis Consulting. As an entrepreneur, Val has successfully built Saskatchewan’s largest management consulting and research firm by bringing together a high performing and multi-generational team of intelligent consultants and analysts.  With over 25 years of experience, Val focuses on business strategy, stakeholder/community engagement, and corporate governance in private and public sector organizations at provincial, federal, and international levels. She is sought after for her excellent communication skills and ability to generate positive solutions that require multiple stakeholder input and are complex issues in nature. 

    Val has displayed a commitment to the advancement of her profession by serving as President of the Saskatchewan Institute of Certified Management Consultants, a board member of CMC-Canada, and a lead Canadian Trustee to CMC International. 

  • Kaitlin Pianosi, CMC, MBA

    Kaitlin Pianosi is a senior consultant working in Atlantic Canada’s public sector. She focuses on using collaborative engagement techniques to build buy-in and develop relationships. She is noted for her many projects that require research, strategy, engagement techniques, and jurisdictional scanning. She has certifications in Lean Six Sigma, change management, and social media, as well as an MBA that focused on strategy and change management. Over the last several years she has been engaged in multiple M365 deployments in public sector organizations.

    In addition to her professional work, Kaitlin chairs her firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and is the President of CMC-Atlantic, the governing institute for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and PEI.  She has been focused on increasing member engagement and regional presence and leading the board to deliver high calibre events. She also sits on the National Joint Services Committee and National Board of Directors, and is a previous member of the National Growth Committee.​

  • Michael Ennis, CMC, MBA, Prosci, P.Eng

    Michael Ennis is the founder and Managing Partner of TDV Global Inc., a strategic management consulting firm with a passion for delivering high-quality services to scientific and regulatory organizations that contribute to a safer, secure and more prosperous world.  Michael started his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force working as an Aerospace Engineering Officer within the CF-18 program.  He commenced his career in consulting in 1994 and established TDV Global in 2001 to help organizations unlock their latent potential.

    Michael is a strong advocate of the management consulting profession.  He is the President of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario (CMC‑ONT) and Board Member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.  He has served in numerous professional and voluntary leadership roles.  Michael has a Master’s in Business Administration and is a Professional Engineer, Certified Management Consultant and is certified in Prosci Change Management Processes.   Michael is a past Forty Under 40 Award Recipient, as issued by the Ottawa Business Journal.
