Ottawa, Ontario – August 10, 2026 – The CMC Pro Bono Program has completed a no-charge management consulting engagement for the Acne & Rosacea Society of Canada (ARSC). CMC Pro Bono Program sources management consultants for pro bono help.
ARSC is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to public education and support regarding acne and rosacea, working to help Canadians understand and manage these skin conditions.
Certified Management Consultant Rodney Evely, FCMC, provided pro bono expertise to ARSC through the CMC Pro Bono Program.
Rodney Evely, FCMC, is the principal of Evely Consulting Corporation Inc. He delivers management advisory services primarily through the NRC IRAP Management Advisory Services (MAS) program administered by CMC-Canada, including public sector business management advisory services. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Lead of the CMC-Canada Pro Bono Program. His credentials include the FCMC designation, held by fewer than 1% of Canadian consultants, along with CISSP, CISA, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and SAP Certified Associate certifications, MBA, and graduate business strategy training at Oxford University.
Over the course of the engagement – running from December 3, 2025, to July 31, 2026 – Rodney provided the development of a 3-Year Strategic Planning Framework, a SWOT analysis, and the development and refinement of ARSC’s Strategic Pillars, together with meetings and discussions to guide ARSC through the planning and development process. The engagement included review and feedback on three rounds of drafts, culminating in a final, Board-ready Strategic Plan and Executive Summary that includes a detailed action plan with assigned owners, timelines, and a resource-allocation budget.
As a result of the engagement, ARSC now has a clear set of Strategic Pillars, a 3-Year Strategic Plan for internal use, and a forward-facing Executive Summary. The process allowed ARSC to realize both its strengths and its weaknesses, and to focus its efforts where they matter most – streamlining the organization’s priorities into actionable steps, set into appropriate years, with attainable budget linkage, so that ARSC can move forward as planned.
As a nonprofit with a mandate of public education, the development of a 3-Year Strategic Plan was instrumental in ensuring ARSC uses its time and resources wisely to serve its community well. Organizational capacity has increased at both the staff and Board level, now that ARSC has a clear roadmap to follow.
