Halifax, Nova Scotia – May 2026 – The Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC–Canada) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a pro bono advisory engagement for Hike Nova Scotia, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and promoting hiking, walking, and snowshoeing across the province.
Hike Nova Scotia works to build a stronger hiking culture throughout Nova Scotia and serves as a voice for those who hike, walk, snowshoe, and support the building and maintenance of hiking trails. Founded in 2006 as a registered not-for-profit society, the organization supports outdoor participation, trail stewardship, and community connection across the province.
Under the CMC Pro Bono Program, Shahzad Shah of Lean Excellence Canada provided strategic consulting and organizational development support to assist Hike Nova Scotia with organizational growth, sustainability planning, and operational development. The engagement included facilitating strategic discussions, reviewing governance and organizational structures, refining the organization’s value proposition, and identifying funding, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
Additional support was provided through action planning, stakeholder engagement recommendations, and guidance on long-term initiatives, including fundraising strategies and educational program development to strengthen community impact and future growth.
