Q1 In brief, describe how you entered the profession of management consulting, or when did you decide that management consulting was a profession that you wanted to enter?
I entered the profession of management consulting after several years of assisting many organizations with process and project management issues. I decided to find the best certification that fits the solution I have been providing, hence the reason for wanting to become a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
Q2 What do you love most about consulting?
I really love solving complex issues for clients, particularly process and project management problems, using the right methodologies during diagnosis and planning stages.
Q3 What do you like the least?
I really dislike the detachment from clients during the termination phase, but as they say, all good things must come to an end.
Q4 What has been your most satisfying engagement and why?
My most satisfying engagement was on the Asset Liability Management- Quantitative Risk Management project where I was asked to develop and design a 200-page document showing the whole process of how stakeholders were interacting with the tools available during project mode, how they will react once the project was over, identify controls, and develop service-level agreements (SLAs) to support the overall process.
Q5 What personality trait has helped you the most in your career?
Dealing with most people on several projects has helped me develop excellent interpersonal skills. This trait has helped me most throughout my career.
Q6 Finally, if you were stranded on a desert island - What is one book and one luxury item you would take with you?
The one book I will take will be What the Dog Saw: And Other Adventures by Malcolm Gladwell and my luxury item will be a golden compass.
