Structured to empower students for impactful careers in management consulting and to contribute meaningfully to the Canadian landscape, the Microprogram offers a comprehensive blend of academic courses, employer-led workshops, networking opportunities with industry experts, a hands-on real-world consulting project, and invaluable mentorship from Certified Management Consultants (CMC) or Fellow CMCs (FCMC).

Experience Requirements

Your experience will be assessed through your resume, client references, and engagement summaries. To qualify for the Oral Assessment, you’ll need at least three years of consulting experience, three client references, and three engagement summaries. The University of Ottawa provides an opportunity to fulfill one client reference and engagement summary requirement through a consulting project.

Undergraduate Students Graduate Students
The ADM 4907 Management Consulting Project is an actual project for a real client. It takes place over a 4-month period from proposal (Entry Phase) to completion (Termination Phase) and has real impact for the client external to the university. The MBA 6499 Management Consulting Project or 6899 Projet de consultation is an actual project for a real client. It takes place over a 6-month period from proposal (Entry Phase) to completion (Termination Phase) and has real impact for the client external to the university.
