CMC Pro Bono Volunteer Consultant Delivers Strategic Roadmap for WeWorkingWomen's Growth and Impact

Toronto, Ontario – August 18, 2025 – CMC (Canadian Management Consultants) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive pro bono strategic planning project for WeWorkingWomen, a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Chinese Canadian women.

Certified Management Consultant Cindy Sun-Dawes volunteered her professional services to assist WeWorkingWomen at no charge under the CMC Pro Bono Program.  Cindy worked closely with the organization's leadership to develop a three-year strategic plan focused on sustainable growth and increased impact.

"We are deeply grateful for Cindy's expertise and dedication to our mission," said Sherry Zhang, President of WeWorkingWomen,  "This strategic plan provides us with both the vision and practical steps needed to scale our impact while ensuring our organization's sustainability for years to come. The CMC Pro Bono Program identified clear pathways to strengthen our organizational foundation while significantly expanding our reach and financial capacity.”

The strategic plan outlines an ambitious yet achievable roadmap to increase annual revenue by 88% from now to 2028 through diversified funding sources and improved operational efficiency. Key recommendations include:

  • Redefining Mission and Vision statements and key objectives
  • Developing a comprehensive membership database to enhance engagement and retention
  • Creating tiered membership offerings with enhanced value propositions
  • Diversifying revenue sources through optimising internal resources and member networks
  • Establishing robust governance structures and team collaboration processes
  • Pursuing strategic partnerships with corporations and government agencies
  • Building a recognizable non-profit brand across Canada

The plan also reaffirms WeWorkingWomen's vision to empower Chinese Canadian women by fostering leadership development, access to learning and personal growth resources, and advancing representation, equity and inclusion for Chinese Canadian women in the Canadian workplace. WeWorkingWomen’s 2030 goals include maintaining and growing its follower base of 100,000 on social media, converting 1000 followers to a member-based system and empowering at least 500 women through culturally conscious coaching and other diversified programs.

WeWorkingWomen
