An Announcement from CMC-Canada's Executive Director

New CMC-Canada learning opportunities kick off this September!

--

Good afternoon, CMC-Canada Members and Friends!

I hope this message finds you well and that you have enjoyed a wonderful summer! Looking ahead to fall means "back to school" for kids, while we refocus on objectives we've set for ourselves this year.

Over the summer, CMC-Canada's National Office staff have been working hard to add value to your membership as we seek new opportunities to support your professional development goals. We have a full slate of certification courses scheduled for the fall and we are working on collaborating with third party experts to bring you the best instruction in the areas you have expressed interest. I am very excited to share with you our newest course and PD offering, the Executive Essentials of Management Consulting!

For the past few years, our members, especially CMCs, have expressed that they would like to see more opportunities to level set their skills against the industry standard. As busy executives, the full EMC course was difficult to fit into their schedules. To support our members while creating new offerings for executive and experienced consultants wishing to pursue the CMC designation, the learning and development team, including the CMC-Canada Instructors, have created the NEW Executive EMC. And I am thrilled to share its official launch with you today!

The Executive EMC course was authored by Christopher Harper, CMC, who also modernized the long-form EMC in 2021. Chris worked closely with our Instructor Team and Learning Manager, taking great care to ensure that all types of learners would receive the best experience possible. In addition to the live, instructor-led session, the course includes organized, detailed learner tools and supplemental short videos for brushing up on some of the most common tools and techniques CMCs use on a regular basis.

Essentially, the Executive EMC delivers a high-level review of all the main elements of our cornerstone Essentials course but in a condensed six-hour format.

To date, we have received great feedback on the curriculum, including several new executive and experienced CMC candidates expressing that the course was extremely helpful in preparation for the oral assessments on route to earning the CMC designation.

We hope you will join us in sharing this exciting new opportunity with your colleagues and networks, and consider joining one of our upcoming class offerings yourself. The next class is on September 19th and will be facilitated by the course author, Chris Harper, CMC. Spaces are limited!

Private scheduling and group rates are available. Please email events@cmc-canada.ca to schedule a call to discuss your team's needs and how we can help.

Sincerely,

Donna Ringrose
Executive Director, CMC-Canada
